Welcome to Big Bend Agronomy Tips
My name is Don Clark. Welcome to Big Bend Agri-Services Agronomy Tips. I am the Agronomist for Big Bend with nearly 40 years’ experience in production agriculture. 30 of those years were spent as a faculty member of UGA’s College of Agriculture, working in Southwest Georgia.
During my career with UGA Extension, I worked in two extremely diversified counties producing nearly fifty different commodities. I worked on solving production problems in the field, conducted replicated and randomized research in small and large plots, as well as in greenhouses.
The Agronomy Tips articles that will be submitted on this website are intended to function as both tools to make our Dealers and Growers more proactive in preventing yield limiting problems before they occur, and to help identify problems in fields that need to be corrected.
Big Bend Agri-Services is committed to providing plant nutritional products that will improve the bottom line for the growers that our Dealers service. Our nutritional products are balanced to meet the needs of the crop they are designed to be used on. We use research based information in the development of our plant food products to insure the success of your growers. Big Bend then supports its liquid plant nutritionals with a technical support staff that understands the plant food industry from the chemistry of plant food, to an Agriculture Scientist that can go into the field, diagnose a problem, and make a recommendation.
Our goal at Big Bend Agri-Services is to provide our Dealers with the technical support and information that will enable their growers to be more profitable. We will not only provide Dealers with useful information, but also go with you to your growers’ field to assist in solving problems for them.
